Lester Holt


Lester Don Holt, Jr. is an American broadcast journalist who has anchored NBC Nightly News since 2015 and also anchors Dateline NBC. He was the first Black person to anchor a nightly network newscast on a weekday. He has been with the NBC news network since 2000, after spending 19 years with CBS News. As Holt was known throughout pop culture, he also made guest appearances in films such as The Fugitive (1993), Primal Terror (1996), and episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, among others. Holt moderated the Democratic presidential candidates' debate in January 2016, as well as the first presidential debate on September 26, 2016, with a team of NBC political reporters. When Holt interviewed President Trump in May 2017, they debated Trump's decision to fire FBI Director James Comey. Holt's interview with Trump drew a lot of attention in the media. Following all of this, Holt performed in many different areas of journalism such as politics, national, etc. 

On the other hand, Lester Holt received many awards for his outstanding work and service. He has received the News & Documentary Emmy Awards, Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, and Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Morning Program. In addition, Lester Holt is an award-winning journalist and the host of "NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt," the network's flagship program and America's most watched newscast. He also hosts the 28th season of "Dateline NBC" and oversees NBC News' special reports, breaking news, and primetime political coverage. Holt has a salary of $10 million per year as his net worth is $12 million.
